Long before violence erupts on the streets,
It quietly passes through accounts, networks and hidden receipts.
Extremism may begin with ideology’s claim,
But it survives through funds that fulfil its aim.
In silent rooms where transactions are laid,
Money moves swiftly and systems of power are made.
Across global markets a shadow current flows,
Where illicit finance travels faster than authorities know.
In nations and banks, where ledgers remain,
Power is measured in profit and gain.
Even with borders guarded by fence and wire,
Untracked capital continues to fuel the fire.
When a state looks away and the “Grey List” grows,
It gives cover for layered schemes to flow.
Money does not simply switch hands.
It empowers.
It influences.
And in the wrong hands, it destabilizes nations.
History says a fool and his money are soon parted,
But when nations play the fool, who profits the most?
Presenting the Financial Action Task Force:
“Assessing the credibility and enforcement power of Global AML/CFT frameworks through the case of Pakistan, with special emphasis on uncovering how States and networks manipulate financial systems to sustain extremism and destabilize international security.”
This May,
Unmask the corrupt that stay hidden.
This May,
Conceive. Concur. Convince.
